The "Dead Rising 2" prequel "Case Zero" tested the waters on Xboxes before Capcom's high-profile zombie sequel came out this year, and December has now been locked down for Act 3. "Dead Rising 2: Case West" will not only provide an epilogue for the story via co-op gameplay; it's going to revive photographer and star of the first "Dead Rising" Frank West, who will be carrying his camera.
The Xbox Live exclusive will take West and Chuck Greene into the Phenotrans Facility on the outskirts of Fortune City, according to Capcom's announcement. New weapons and new combo possibilities will join them as they rescue some stray humans and West documents whatever they find in an attempt to provide evidence of Phenotrans' role in the zombie mayhem that's been taking place.
If co-op's not your thing and you would prefer to play through the game solo, Capcom's got you covered there, too. Single player mode will still bring West along for the ride, but you'll only be able to play as Chuck while an invincible Frank accompanies you.
I'm glad they made an accommodation there for single players, but at the same time, the game is called "Case West," so it's a bit of a downer that you won't be able to play as Frank unless you've got an accomplice. Still, AI Frank is better than no Frank at all.
