Along with finalizing the Demon Hunter as the fifth class for "Diablo 3," Blizzard rolled some footage of their PvP arena combat that's being prepped. As Russ pointed out in his opening ceremony liveblog, three-on-three team battles will be supported. So whether you feel like some one-on-one or team match-ups, multiplayer modes will try to accommodate you in the undated sequel.

If the Monk and other classes revealed thus far for "Diablo 3" haven't caught your fancy, perhaps a crossbow-carrying Demon Hunter will do the trick. BlizzCon 2010 kicked off in grand fashion today, and one of their opening ceremony party favors was confirmation that this ranged attack warrior will grab class slot number five alongside the Monk, Barbarian, Witch Doctor and Wizard for the upcoming sequel.

Not everything about Rockstar's new Undead Nightmare pack for "Red Dead Redemption" will be horror-themed. It's going to come bundled with some new multiplayer options, and at least one of them will only feature characters without rotting flesh. There will be a co-op zombie-hunting mode called Undead Overrun, as well as a king-of-the-hill-style Land Grab mode that supports posse play.

"FarmVille" fell under scrutiny along with other Facebook apps in a privacy breach investigation recently, but Zynga's flagship agriculture game has gone ahead and given its iPhone release some company in the App Store in the form of an iPad app. The crop-planting, Facebook-connecting app is now available and aims to make use of its new platform's touchscreen real estate.

Developer Pop Quiz is a weekly interview series in which we ask developers from around the industry the same 10 questions and post their responses.
This week's release of "Super Meat Boy" has been a long time coming and is a pretty monumental achievement for a game that was designed by just two guys. As I mentioned in my review, it's one of the finest 2D platformers ever made and easy stands astride with classics like "Super Mario Bros." Edmund McMillen is one of the two-man design crew at Team Meat and has been working in indie games for years now, making Flash titles as well as retail releases like "Gish".
His unique take on the industry and his outspoken nature makes him an excellent person to chat with an a perfect candidate for a Developer Pop Quiz.

The Fallout MMO is moving forward and collecting email addresses for its eventual beta testing phase. Don't expect to have "Fallout Online" running on your computer in the next calendar year, though. Interplay anticipates seeing their beta launch in 2012, but the better news is that they hope to have the full version out shortly thereafter.

Outlandish cover-based shooters are not what game director Shinji Mikami is best known for. No, most gamers will recognize him as the mastermind behind the classic "Resident Evil" series. However, after his time with Capcom ended, he joined the all-star team at Platinum Games and began work on his first title for Sega, "Vanquish." Set on a space station high above the Earth, there's no zombies in sight, just a giant Russian army of high-tech robots hell-bent on bringing the United States to its knees.

The bugs that emerged in the aftermath of the "Fallout: New Vegas" release this week didn't all get fixed overnight, but Bethesda has begun their patching process with an automatic PC update. Their team eventually hopes to correct problems on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation as well, and the gears behind the scenes appear to be turning.

Once known as "Michael Jackson: The Game," Ubisoft switched things up to re-title their November 25 release "Michael Jackson: The Experience." Things got more interesting when the game's Move and Kinect compatibility came to light, but neither the Xbox 360 nor PlayStation 3 edition will accompany their PlayStation Portable, Wii and DS counterparts to stores next month, as they've been re-categorized as Q1 2011 products.
