As a Pacers fan, I'd much rather see Reggie Miller on the cover of "NBA 2K11." No offense to His Air-nessĀ® of course, but I need to remember what it was like to be a fan of a winning team (that doesn't attack its own audience) more than I need help recalling all those great Bulls teams led by Jordan's miraculous buzzer beaters, crazy athleticism, grit, and offensive skills. These teams were cultural touchstones, while the great Pacers teams on the other hand, never quite got there. Why didn't you show more tongue, Miller?

Blizzard's MMO specialists have enough on their plates right now with "Cataclysm" coming out for "World of Warcraft" players in December. Nevertheless, they're prepping a new non-"WoW" MMO, and it's a game they hope will be able to live in harmony with the universe they've already created, rather than supplanting or succeeding it.

"Champions Online" has had a year to see what works and what doesn't work in its current system, but Cryptic Studios has decided to starting offering a new free option for unsubscribed players in 2011. "Dungeons and Dragons Online" and "Lord of the Rings Online" have also chosen such paths, so Cryptic's definitely not venturing into unexplored territory. Still, it will mean new choices for the MMO's customers.

Because we couldn't let BlizzCon 2010 come and go without a wrap-up of the BlizzCon cosplay we saw on the show floor, we've collected them all into a handy gallery. We've got Night Elves, we've got Draenei, we've got giant head crabs and, my personal favorite, a dude in an awesome Moonkin outfit which makes him look like a reject from the set of "Where The Wild Things Are."
So click the image below and enjoy all of the costume shenanigans as we bid farewell to yet another BlizzCon.

Starting today in "Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions," you'll no longer need to track down a copy of "What If...?" #31 to find out what would have happened if Spidey had kept his Captain Universe look. You may need to cough up 240 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live or $2.99 on the PlayStation Network, however.

As a part of Telltale Games' expanding interest in movie properties that's also seen the studio begin work on Jurassic Park games, they've announced a rollout window in December for "Back to the Future: The Game." It may not look anything like the "Back to the Future" "Crysis" mod we saw last year, but it does include the voice of Christopher Lloyd and the cartoonish feel you'd expect from a Telltale product.

It's always a bitch when things don't go as you planned, and "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2" marks the second time that Darth Vader's plans don't exactly fall into place for him and his secret apprentice. While it is really just another example in a long line of ill-conceived plans for The Dark Lord of The Sith, at least this one results in a fairly enjoyable, albeit short, video game documenting the second journey of Vader's apprentice, Starkiller. Things could have been worse, as we all know from "Episodes I" through "III."

The most recent game released in the "God of War" franchise, "Ghost of Sparta" unfolds somewhere between the first "God of War" and the mobile game "God of War: Betrayal" in Kratos' timeline, but it faces one of the biggest tests of all when it hits shelves this week: Can it live up to the high expectations set by its predecessor on the PSP?

GameStops jumping into the used iPods business would be news to me, but if it's already been going on, it sounds like it could be isolated to a few test-market stores. A purported GameStop computer screen showing database entries regarding tradable iPods showed up in a report on Kotaku, and though my local GameStop doesn't offer such a service, someone in the comment thread posted a photo of a store's window sticker that would seem to corroborate such a system.

The original "Fable" promised a heck of a lot of depth and character development, but failed to deliver on enormous expectations. In 2008, though "Fable 2" managed the follow-through on a lot of the promises Lionhead Studios made about the franchise, and the title was one of the strongest releases of that year. Now we have "Fable 3," another game with grand promises and expectations. But can it deliver?
