'Diablo 3' Final Class Is The Demon Hunter

Posted 10/22/10 5:55 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in Mac, News, PC

Diablo 3 Demon Hunter

If the Monk and other classes revealed thus far for "Diablo 3" haven't caught your fancy, perhaps a crossbow-carrying Demon Hunter will do the trick. BlizzCon 2010 kicked off in grand fashion today, and one of their opening ceremony party favors was confirmation that this ranged attack warrior will grab class slot number five alongside the Monk, Barbarian, Witch Doctor and Wizard for the upcoming sequel.

Bearing a close resemblance to the Amazons and Rogues of past Diablo games, the Demon Hunter with specialize in projectiles, and footage released by Blizzard shows her using Fan of Knives, along with the Molten Arrow, Grenade, Bola and Entangling Shot. For those who enjoy speed and distance between you and your enemies, the DH looks like a worthy selection; and her class name pretty much brands her as the solution to you primary task in this game.

As you can see in her introductory trailer, the Demon Hunter posses some tracking skills and does a wicked job of handling two crossbows at the same time. If brawling and bashing your demon foes is more your style, you may want to stick with someone else, but I have a feeling a lot of players are going to be starting out with the DH when "Diablo 3" ships; it's a personal philosophy of mine than you can never have too many ranged weapons with magically augmented attacks when a demon horde comes knocking.

Which class do you plan on beginning with in "Diablo 3"? What questions would you like to see Blizzard answer about the game over the weekend? Share your responses with us in the comment section below.
