"Halo: Reach" problems aren't the only issue irking Xbox 360 owners this season. Some Xbox 360 Slim units have reportedly been experiencing disc read errors while playing "Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock," and Activision is currently taking steps to resolve the matter via replacements discs.
"Activision recently learned that some consumers may be experiencing a disc reading issue with 'Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock,'" an Activision representative said in a statement according to a report on Destructoid. "We are taking immediate action to research this issue including testing discs. In the event that consumers do experience a problem, they should contact Activision’s Customer Service Center directly at 800-225-6588."
So if you happen encounter such a problem, now you'll know what to do.
"Naturally, Activision will honor its warranty and offer existing customers free replacement discs in exchange for any purchased defective disc," the the rep said. "Activision is fully committed to satisfying every 'Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock' fan so they can enjoy a great gaming experience.”
In the meantime before Activision is able to deliver those replacement discs, just sit tight and try not to rock too hard. Just rock with moderate aggression, blow on your 360 gently while you play "Warriors of Rock," and maybe it will return the favor by not failing to read your game. That's the best advice I can offer as someone with no technical certification.
