The more Rockstar Games unveils about the "Red Dead Redemption" Undead Nightmare DLC this week, the more it seems to resemble a sci-fi/horror/Western GURPS campaign I remember hearing about many years ago. We knew from the screenshots that showed up yesterday that John Marston would be getting the chance to ride a zombie horse, but the trailer that appeared today includes another undead animal that looks like it can do some real damage. Have a look at your zombie bear and the trailer after the jump.
The pack will bring a "mostly single-player campaign" to "RDR," according to the Rockstar Games Newswire feed. Marston will have to find a cure for a zombie plague that's erupted along the frontier, and "new gameplay mechanics, weapons, zombie animals, mythical creatures" and a "secret location" will be a part of that adventure.
As far as multiplayer info goes, Rockstar says they'll unload more on that front at a later point in time. With the addition of zombie bears, I think they've done their duty for the week; however, if they would like to include zombie bear mounts or zombie animal companions as part of their upcoming multiplayer announcements, I would not complain.
In the meantime, enjoy the the zombie action in the new video and imagining what else is going to sprout up out of the ground when it hits.
