'Super Street Fighter 4' Wardrobes Getting Updates Via DLC

Posted 9/23/10 3:00 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in PS3, Xbox 360

Super Street Fighter 4 costumes

In all the teaser hubbub about new fighters and costumes surrounding the "Super Street Fighter Fighter 4" arcade game, many of us wondered when the other shoe might drop on some new DLC for the console editions. Well, Yun and Yang haven't been announced for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation just yet, but some costumes have.

"The timing and pricing will vary by platform, but the first packs will hit both XBLM and PSN on Tuesday, October 26, so be sure to keep an eye out then!" a company rep wrote on the official Capcom Blog.

The preview images that showed up there included a Cammy outfit that looks like it's suitable for impersonating Catwoman and taking a few bullets, a little white dress for Sakura that's either got flowers or bloodstains on it, and some T. Hawk duds that appear to be Aztec in origin.

Of course, "Super Street Fighter 4" has received costume updates before. I think this new series looks a little more inspired; but then again, you may not know which outfits you're actually going to have access to until they hit the PSN and XBL marketplaces.

Seeing the note about different DLC packs going to different consoles does have me wondering though. Do you think Yun and Yang will get split up when and if they eventually make to home systems?

What do you think of the new "SSF4" outfits? Would you rather be getting Yun and Yang as DLC? Share your reactions with us in the comment section below.
