Red Dead Redemption zombie bear

The more Rockstar Games unveils about the "Red Dead Redemption" Undead Nightmare DLC this week, the more it seems to resemble a sci-fi/horror/Western GURPS campaign I remember hearing about many years ago. We knew from the screenshots that showed up yesterday that John Marston would be getting the chance to ride a zombie horse, but the trailer that appeared today includes another undead animal that looks like it can do some real damage. Have a look at your zombie bear and the trailer after the jump.

Wii Party

If there's one niche the Nintendo Wii has cornered these days, it's the market for truly social gaming — not online gaming, but in-person, interactive, social experiences with a group of people who may or may not have any prior gaming experience. After laying the foundation for the Wii's fun, party-starting potential with titles like "Wii Sports" and "Wii Play," Nintendo is hoping to build on that foundation with "Wii Party," which just might be the most social of their party game collections thus far.

In order to review it properly, I enlisted the help of my wife, Jessica, to play through as much of the game as possible with me, and share some of her observations about how "Wii Party" plays for someone with significantly less gaming experience.

Team Fotress 2

Whenever Valve adds a new update to "Team Fortress 2," they always present the announcement in a humorous manner. The addition of the Mann Co. in-game store is no different, and you can enjoy their amusing gorilla sweepstakes and legless drawings here. But, if you're hoping to understand what this new store is really all about, that page is probably not terribly helpful. I'll do my best to straighten it out for you.

Myst movie

If you never thought that "Myst" contained enough material to build a feature-length film from, you obviously never read "The Book of Atrus," "The Book of Ti'ana" or "The Book of D'ni." Those companion novels will fill in some gaps as the film adaptation's production team moves ahead with their fantasy/puzzle/adventure game-derived project. Producers Hunt Lowry of "Donnie Darko" and Mark Johnson from the recent "The Chronicles of Narnia" films have agreed to partner with the "Myst" film rights owners at the Mysteria Film Group to get the movie on its feet.

Game Center

When Apple's gaming social network, Game Center, launched on iPhone and iPod Touch earlier this month, the pickings were admittedly a little slim. There were a few gems here and there, but many of the major developers weren't able to get Game Center versions of their popular titles out in time for launch.

Thankfully, a few weeks later, the line-up is really starting to fill out. Here are five easy picks for iPhone and iPod Touch games that support Game Center.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater 3DS

Hideo Kojima predicted a 2011 launch for the 3DS port of "Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater" at Tokyo Game Show. Today, on the heels of other 3DS-related hardware and game announcements, Konami has narrowed that window to Spring 2011. The 3DS will be on sale in the U.S. in March, so that means you should have a little time to familiarize yourself with the handheld system's ins and outs before you introduce it to Solid Snake.

Bit.Trip Beat

If you understand the above screenshot, you've likely played "Bit.Trip Beat" when it released on WiiWare last year. If your mind boggles at the sight of said screenshot, you're going to need some explanation of what's going on. But before I do that, you should know that "Bit.Trip Beat" is coming to the App Store today and should be available worldwide later tonight.
