With a public beta expected soon and a press demo scheduled at GamesCom, it was a perfect week for Guerrilla Games to break out a new multiplayer trailer for "Killzone 3." Jetpack action appears just long enough to get a taste in your mouth before everything ends, but take a look after the jump and you'll be able to see some scope and un-scoped gun options, as well as a vehicle face-off and a whole lot of blood.
"'Killzone 3''s multiplayer mode adds heaps of new features to the strong fundamentals laid by its predecessor, creating a fresh multiplayer experience that everyone can enjoy," Guerrilla Games senior producer Steven Ter Heide wrote on the official PlayStation official blog. "It offers two new game modes, a new matchmaking system, vehicles, Brutal Melee attacks and more ranks, abilities and rewards than you can shake a stick at!"
Other highlights including stabbing, turret operation and some extremely deep level views that show off the kinds of scenery you can expect to see in 3-D when this game ships. The level shown is called "Corinth Highway," which Ter Heide says sits "on the edge of Pyrrhus, the city which was nuked by Visari." He specifically pointed out the appearance of Exoskeletons, which represent one of the vehicles available in "Killzone 3."
The jetpack at the end punctuates the whole scene, however. Guerrilla has thrown in a big pile of toys here. Everyone lucky enough to get in on the game's beta test should have a good time of it trying them out sometime soon.
