Nintendo predicted a fall 2010 release when they announced "Kirby's Epic Yarn" at E3. There may be a slight hiccup before the marshmallow hero featured on Chris Brown's jewelry brings his new Wii release to Europe, though. In fact, Europe looks like they'll be be "Yarn"-less until after the holidays.
"In this one-of-a-kind platformer, explore high and low for hidden objects and fun adventure when it arrives in Europe in Q1 2011 for Wii," a Nintendo press release posted by Gamasutra reads, describing the game.
At this point, there's no reason to believe that this means the U.S. launch has been delayed at all. Different continents get the same game in different quarters all the time. Nonetheless, if you live on the east side of the Atlantic and hoped to give that someone special in your life the gift of "Yarn" in 2010, you will need to adjust your plans.
You could also just make your own epic yarn masterpiece in the DIY spirit of Kirby's new look and give it to your friend or family member instead. Gifts from the heart always matter more anyway.
