Sith Purebloods, the Miraluka, Mirialans and Zabraks will all be playable species in "Star Wars: The Old Republic," meaning that in addition to flying your own personal starships in the game, you'll also be able to tap some non-humans with unique natural Force strengths.
The Miraluka, for instance, come from a world with no light, so they rely extra-heavily on The Force for everything thing they do, according the "Star Wars: The Old Republic" blog. Zabraks, meanwhile, will be familiar to anyone able to place a face with the name Darth Maul, as they are the famous super-agile, horned-headed species with an affinity for tattoos that produces him.
All classes will come with non-human options, and the list will get longer before the game ships, according to BioWare. And that launch date is still presumed to be sometime after March 2011, so exercise patience and use your Force Relax powers for most most of the next year, and you may still see your favorite Star Wars aliens show up on the character-builder menu yet.
