Capcom revealed the next chapter of the "Mega Man" series today, announcing "Mega Man Universe." In the announcement, Kenji Inafune, head of Research and Development Management for Capcom, said, "This game will break the mold and challenge the conventional wisdom of what a Mega Man game can be. When fans finally get to see it, I believe they’ll envision their most far-out Mega Man dreams coming true." Um...ok. Not exactly detail-heavy.
The announcement goes on to say that "Mega Man Universe" will offer the "core experience fans want" while bringing innovation to the Mega Man mold.

Not only is Bizarre Creations' "James Bond 007: Blood Stone" officially acknowledged as a game as of today; it's added British singer Joss Stone to its talent roster to accompany Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench, as well as to perform the original track "I'll Take it All" with Eurythmics member Dave Stewart.

Fresh off the word that Comic-Con attendees would be getting a glimpse at the upcoming "Assassin's Creed" comic, we've learned that Bethesda will be doing the same thing with the upcoming "Fallout: New Vegas" comic. Bethesda posted a portion of a splash page from the comic, which will act as a prequel for "Fallout: New Vegas."

"Dead Rising 2" has been pushed into September, but Capcom still wants to get something "Dead Rising" related out for August. Thus, they've decided to release the live-action serialized film "Zombrex Dead Rising Sun" for free over Xbox Live and on the Web.

Getting licensing approval for new Star Wars games may be a challenging process to go through, but the spigot does not appear to be tightening on iPhone releases. THQ already had a sizable lineup of games in the App Store, but the 30th birthday of "The Empire Strikes Back" is upon us, so they decided to give "Star Wars: Cantina" and "Star Wars: Lightsaber Duel" a new neighbor by launching "Star Wars: The Battle for Hoth."

Among other things that you don't need to be an adult or have a Real ID login to do on Battle.net, you can now download "StarCraft 2." You just won't be able to install and play it. Blizzard has made the full "SC2" client available at no charge as of today, and on Tuesday, July 27, at 10:00 AM PDT, you will be able to pay Blizzard and make that client unlock into the beautiful butterfly that will be "SC2."

The next "Assassin's Creed" video game, "Brotherhood," will feature the return of Ezio. But Ubisoft has plans beyond Ezio, and they're kicking those off a bit earlier than we would've guessed. For one thing, they've got a comic book series in the works which will feature a brand new assassin and a brand new setting: Russia in the early 1900s.

The Internet famous Three Wolf Moon T-shirt has inspired a Three Wolf God Sun homage over at Capcom, and if you already happen to be be at Comic-Con International in San Diego this year, you may be able to get your paws on one for less than the price of an imported Chibiterasu plush. It doesn't look like they're going to be up for sale, though, unfortunately, as the limited run is being used to supply prizes for a raffle.

Raven Software's "Singularity" fell in a PR black hole after an E3 2009 showing, not to appear again in playable form by press until it was released last week. Moves like this are typically big, big indicators that a game might not be all that was promised. But such is not the case for Raven's latest title. It's better than you'd expect and an unfortunate example of solid game flying under the radar for seemingly no good reason.

"Killzone 3" is real, and it's coming in 3-D. You may have seen an extended clip if you tuned in to Sony's E3 press event last month. The game will not, however, include a four-player co-op mode, as has been rumored to be the case. A preview from FirstPlay further stoked speculation this week, but the digital magazine has since issued a follow-up response correcting their co-op assertion.
