Activision has officially announced "Call of Duty: Black Ops" for the Nintendo DS, but they haven't yet revealed what their extra large console editions of the new game will look like on November 9. Thankfully, online retailer Buy.com has reportedly let the cat out of the bag about Hardened and Prestige editions of "Black Ops," though, giving reassurance to everyone who feels uncomfortable spending less than $80 on a Call of Duty title.
The listings appear to have been taken down, but Hardened was priced at $79.99 and Prestige was set at $149.99, according to a story on IGN. That means that the pressure will be on for Activision to outdo its "Modern Warfare 2" Prestige package from last year, which famously included a pair of nightvision goggles.
"Crysis 2" has already taken care of a super-thin backpack for your night maneuvers in its Nano Edition. If "Black Ops" were to come with a long-range recording apparatus, GPS tracking devices that could be affixed to the undercarriage of cars or maybe a pair of nice combat boots, any of those offerings would fit right in to our growing collections.
Did you pick up a Prestige edition last year? What would you like to see "Black Ops" packaged with? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
