For the last 13 years, Haden Blackman has been neck deep in everything "Star Wars." Seriously, just look at his vast resume of projects. 35 separate "Star Wars" gigs, with much of that time focused on writing stories that would enter the canon of the world's most beloved sci fi franchise. Gamers best know him for his work on titles like "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" (and its forthcoming sequel) and the still-running "Star Wars: Galaxies." Blackman announced today that he'll be leaving LucasArts.
Speaking with IGN, Blackman said that "the decision to leave LucasArts did not happen overnight or come easily...I really feel that now is the best time for me to move on and explore new creative challenges and I look forward to the next phase of my career."
Beyond that, no details have been given about who will take on Blackman's mantle for the remainder of the development of "The Force Unleashed 2." I've reached out to LucasArts for comment, so I'll update you when/if I hear back.
