Understanding the intricacies of multiplayer in "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood" may require some some time and explanation-grappling. Understanding who the two additional multiplayer characters are that Ubisoft has just announced, however, should be easy. They are a blacksmith and a soldier.
You won't be able to play as either of them in the upcoming mulitplayer beta, according an email newsletter sent out by Ubisoft, but they will give you the option of having or not having a potbelly, as see in an image from the newsletter put up on display by Kotaku. The Blacksmith's features include a beard and big fat hammer, while the Soldier, who will reportedly be a Best Buy exclusive, comes fully armored with a sword and significantly less body fat.
The multiplayer beta sans Blacksmith and Soldier will be launching in September, according to a trailer Ubisoft broke out for San Diego Comic-Con last week. The same trailer also listed November 19, 2010 for full game's launch date.
Give a glance, and you'll notice a few other character variations that should be available when the game hits.
