The new Xbox 360 Slim bundles announced earlier this week won't be alone when "Halo: Reach" comes out in September. A $399.99 bundle with two controllers and a "Reach"-inspired design will be shipping as well.
The 250GB unit will come with a black headset, two controllers, a month of Xbox Live Gold Membership and a standard copy of "Reach," according to its listing on Amazon.com. It's nestled among those other bundle options we've seen before and comes with a release date of September 14 to coincide with the "Reach" launch. Additionally, pre-orders are being taken for the controllers ($59.99 each) and headsets ($49.99), which should be out in late August.
Bungie and Microsoft rolled out the info at San Diego Comic-Con, where they also detailed the creation of Forge World and a few new gameplay modes.
This is also good news if the new, slimmer 360's black look was already getting stale for you. It means you'll have a choice of options that won't force you to overburden your home entertainment setup with too much darkness while still allowing you to stay up to date with your console technology.
