"Dead Rising 2" has been pushed into September, but Capcom still wants to get something "Dead Rising" related out for August. Thus, they've decided to release the live-action serialized film "Zombrex Dead Rising Sun" for free over Xbox Live and on the Web.
Capcom’s global head of research and development Keiji Inafune directed the full-length motion picture about two brothers escaping a zombie invasion in Japan. It will be split into eight episodes over four weeks, according to a report on GameInformer.com. Here's the lowdown on where and when you'll be able to find those individual episodes:
On Xbox Live:
August 4: Parts 1-3
August 11: Parts 4-5
August 18: Parts 6-7
August 25: Part 8
On DeadRisingSun.com:
August 11: Parts 1-3
August 18: Parts 4-5
August 25: Parts 6-7
September 1: Part 8
The installments will reportedly also include commentary from Inafune, but don't go looking for Frank West anywhere. It looks like its going to be tied to "Dead Rising 2" in some way, but I don't see anything about Chuck Greene either.
"Dead Rising Sun" won't cost you anything to check out, though, so if you're a zombie fan, a "Dead Rising" fan or anything else in between, you shouldn't have much to lose checking out one or two parts and making an informed decision about the rest of them.
Are you going watch "Zombrex Dead Rising Sun"? Would you rather have "Dead Rising 2" for sale in August instead? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
