The Jurassic Park film franchise may be taking a new turn, and the Michael Crichton-created saga's face in video games may change as well, now that Telltale Games has revealed that they're working on new releases. Gone are the days of short, large-headed characters walking around on the Super Nintendo, apparently. Telltale now says that they want to veer more toward the "serious" notes contained in the ongoing battle between man and cloned dinosaurs.

Microsoft still hasn't announced an official price point for Kinect, despite Amazon.com, Best Buy and Walmart all opening pre-orders up at $149.99 a pop. That hasn't stopped Amazon from going ahead and posting prices for Kinect's launch titles, however, and right now "Kinectimals," "Kinect Adventures!," "Kinect Sports" and "Kinect Joy Ride" are all priced at $59.99 there.

"Star Fox" and "PilotWings" will get updated releases for Nintendo's new 3DS system, but Nintendo may not have explained the full scope of their remake plans during their E3 media event. "PilotWings Resort" looks like a new game altogether, but "Star Fox 64 3D" may come accompanied by reworked existing games like "Mega Man 2" and "Castelvania."

Tetsuya Mizuguchi is known for his unique, music-infused video games, with titles like "Lumines," "Rez" and "Space Channel 5." His latest is "Child of Eden," a visual and aural overload that proved to be quite different from anything else I saw at E3 last week.
In basic terms, "Child of Eden" is an on-rails shooter that appears to play a lot like Mizuguchi's other on-rails shooter, "Rez." You fly through a futuristic, techno-backed universe, blasting computerized beasties with lasers and bombs.

During the chaos of E3, a game released on the iPhone called "Super QuickHook." The spiritual successor to one of my favorite iPhone games, "Hook Champ," "Super QuickHook" updates the gameplay and graphics in a variety of ways and should be enjoyed by all.
The Highs
SNES-Style Graphics
"Hook Champ" took more of an 8-bit approach to its graphics. "Super QuickHook" is much more detailed, with larger character sprites and more varied environments. It has a pixelated charm that reminds one of those classic platformers of the early '90s, and the menu system only helps to complete the effect.

With a Star Wars MMO and Fallout MMO incoming, who's to stand in the way of the Call of Duty franchise if it wants to jump in for a piece of the action as well? Activision CEO Bobby Kotick thinks such a project sounds great and said that if he could make one thing happen right away at his company, he would use his wish to MMO-ify CoD with a paid subscription service.

After the trailer for “inFamous 2” was recently released, fans of the franchise immediately wanted to hear more details on what's in store for Cole MacGrath. I recently had the opportunity to watch some gameplay and speak with representatives from developer Sucker Punch about where the series is headed next.

Have you been checking out scenes from E3 of Sony and Steven Spielberg with the PlayStation Move and wondering to yourself, "Does that little colored ball on the end have any use at all?" If you have, Sony has an answer for you and believes that you have vastly underestimated the abilities possessed by their spherical tip.

Despite a prolonged legal ordeal between Interplay and Bethesda, a website for "Fallout Online" has launched, and the undated MMO wants aspiring players to apply for its beta test. Handing your contact info over right now will put you on a mailing list, via which info will be distributed down the road to get into the test. The fact that this is happening at all signals a watershed moment for the game, as ownership of the rights to develop such an MMO have been in dispute.

The Nintendo 3DS appeared with Nintendo at E3 this week and brought some classic properties like "Kid Icarus," "Star Fox" And "PilotWings" with it. They also announced a sizable lineup of third-party games from franchises like Metal Gear and Resident Evil. That means that older, seasoned gamers are going be part of the market being targeted for the 3DS. Children will be part of the focus, too, just not "very young children."
