Microsoft pulled Kinect out of the box at E3 this year to show off its new camera-based, controllerless technology, but PrimeSense, the company who crafted the sensors inside plan on spreading their know-how to other devices in the next year.
Some HTPCs will be getting the new tech by the end of 2010, and at least one cable company wants it in a gesture-controlled box by summer 2011, according PrimeSense VP Adi Berenson, who spoke with Engadget. PrimeSense's master plan, however, involved standardizing their gesture controls across the entertainment industry, so you may hear about other appearances in the near future.

The big Nintendo press conference at E3 introduced a large lineup of third-party developers and prominent properties like Assassin's Creed and Metal Gear Solid that plan on supporting the 3DS. Sega was on that list as well, and they may have a few more franchises to offer when all is said and done, including Aliens and House of the Dead.

Queen's lead guitarist Brian May may have sort of given away some unofficial information regarding his band's musical video game plans, and "Guitar Hero: Queen" could be on the way next year, according to a Swedish interview he gave.
The interview published on the news site DN.se specifically mentions a Guitar Hero game being in the works for 2011, and May didn't deny it in his response. He did, however, say that his new plan to get fans participating in Queen's music is a secret for now.

Official PlayStation Move prices and unofficial Kinect prices from Microsoft are out in the open now, and gamers aren't the only ones watching the dollar signs and planning budgets. Game companies are doing the same thing, and Activision doesn't sound like they've been completely sold on the new control systems yet. That doesn't mean they won't be after sales number start coming in, however.

The "Crackdown 2" demo that's up on Xbox Live right now has absorbed by last two evenings, but while playing last night I noticed a brand new feature that the developers managed to sneak into the demo. Did you know you can get your radar to show agility and hidden orbs scattered about the map? It's true!

A suspected leaked screen from WB's new Mortal Kombat game may not be as fun to look at as the recently de-cloaked Mortal Kombat movie pitch starring Jeri Ryan, but it does offer some insight into the game's cast of fighters.
Scorpion, Mileena, Reptile, Sub-Zero, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Night Wolf and Sektor appear on the character-select menu shown in a photo posted on the German site PlayFront.de. They are accompanied there by a grid of 18 other question-mark boxes, a random select box and a space marked "DLC." Make of that what you will, but the implications seem pretty clear.

"Tony Hawk Ride," if you'll recall, wasn't very good. Folks that spent $120 for the game and the skateboard controller came away with a mediocre game and a useless hunk of plastic. Or did they? Some ingenious skaters decided they could make actual use of the "Ride" controller by turning it into an actual, ridable skateboard.

Peter Molyneux seemed quite excited about "Fable 3" during E3 last week, as did everyone associated with Microsoft regarding Kinect. The little orange-shirted boy who showed up last in Kinect's Milo and Kate video stayed at home, though, prompting questions about where the lad had wandered off to. Well, according to the Microsoft, any rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated.
