Hulu on PlayStation Network

Netflix staked out its streaming service's territory early on through the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii, but Hulu is now rumored to be right behind them on at least two of those systems. The TV-on-demand provider showed up in in a report regarding its Xbox Live aspirations earlier this month, and now it looks like they want a piece of the PlayStation Network as well.

UPDATE: Apple released an official statement regarding the reception issues on the iPhone 4:

Gripping any mobile phone will result in some attenuation of its antenna performance, with certain places being worse than others depending on the placement of the antennas. This is a fact of life for every wireless phone. If you ever experience this on your iPhone 4, avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band, or simply use one of many available cases.

You should probably buy a case.

Original Story: The folks in the video above were pretty pumped about the launch of the iPhone 4, but they should be a bit concerned about all the reports that have been flooding the internet regarding connection issues on the iPhone 4. The problem, it seems, is that by simply holding a case-less iPhone 4 in your hands, you'll immediately begin to lose reception bars. Uh oh!

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions

If the only thing keeping you from standing in line for an iPhone 4 this morning was the lack of a "Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions" port in the App Store, be prepared to read some very good news. While a portable Final Fantasy MMO is still little more than a twinkle in someone's eye, Square Enix does plan on bringing their PlayStation Portable title to Apple's platforms on September 15.

NCAA Football iPhone

The screenshot above comes from the iPhone 4-specific version of "NCAA Football," which costs a $7.99. The screenshot below comes from the non-iPhone 4 version of the game, which costs $6.99. The difference is subtle, but noticeable, as the above image definitely features higher resolution graphics, but do we really need another way to divide the App Store?

M.I.A.

M.I.A. owes much of her musical career to songs addressing violent subject matter. She's concerned about "computer games" that depict violence, though, and singled them out as a place where her child will learn about the world.

M.I.A., whose real name is Mathangi Arulpragasam explained that she "saw violence all the time" while growing up in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, according to a Connect magazine interview spotted by CVG. "My kid's gonna see it, but he's gonna see it in computer games," she said.

In the same fashion as a spokesman for WikiLeaks recently, Arulpragasam drew a correlation between real word behavior and how soldiers understand what they're doing in game terms.

"I don't know which is worse," she stated. "The fact that I saw it in my life has maybe given me lots of issues, but there's a whole generation of American kids seeing violence on their computer screens and then getting shipped off to Afghanistan."

She also said that she thinks games can lead to false understanding about how violence works.

"They feel like they know the violence when they don't," she explained. "Not having a proper understanding of violence, especially what it's like on the receiving end of it, just makes you interpret it wrong and makes inflicting violence easier."

Do you agree with M.I.A.'s judgments about game violence? Do you think video game depictions of violence are better or worse than those in music? Share your opinions in the comment section below.

Final Fantasy MMO

If Square Enix can be convinced to release "Final Fantasy XIII" on the Xbox 360, what's to stop them from getting a Final Fantasy MMO onto portable platforms like the DS, 3DS or PSP? Not much, judging from what one the higher-ups at SE had to say when asked if he thought a portable FF MMO would be possible.

"Yes, I believe it's definitely possible," Square Enix senior VP of software Hiromichi Tanaka told VideoGamer.com. "The DS and PSP both have networking systems implemented, so it's definitely do-able."

Infinity Ward voicemails

Infinity Ward has arrived at a transition period, for better or worse. Despite all of the petition-sparking criticism that "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" received last year, the game still managed to become one of the most successful launches of all time. In the wake of recent map pack releases and documented lawsuit drama surrounding bonuses and key developer departures, though, Activision and their studio have a PR hurdle to get over as they plot their course for Infinity Ward's next project. The first step appears to be opening up a phone number that you can call to share your concerns.

Crackdown 2

The "Crackdown 2" game demo is enormous. You're basically getting a third of the game, with all the functionality, for free. Of course, that deals a little too good to be true, so Microsoft and Ruffian Games slapped a 30 minute time limit on the demo, so as to better encourage folks to pick up the full game. Unfortunately for them there's a very easy way to remove the time limit and play for as long as you'd like. Here's how to do that.
