Peter Molyneux seemed quite excited about "Fable 3" during E3 last week, as did everyone associated with Microsoft regarding Kinect. The little orange-shirted boy who showed up last in Kinect's Milo and Kate video stayed at home, though, prompting questions about where the lad had wandered off to. Well, according to the Microsoft, any rumors of his demise have been greatly exaggerated.
"Project Milo is something that is in ongoing development at Lionhead Studios," MS said in a statement posted by Kotaku. "Lionhead has always been a center of innovation and will continue to deliver against that charter."
Most of the games MS showed off involved quite a bit more activity than Milo seemed capable of in 2009. The closest example this year came in the form of the "Kinectimals" tiger, and even he was much more lively. UGO expects to see Milo in a more family-oriented context later this year when Kinect launches.
Molyneux, meanwhile, mentioned Milo briefly in an interview a few days ago.
“I promise you it is now ten times more amazing than you'd expect it to be from what you saw at E3 2009,” he told CVG.
So don't weep for the boy just yet. Stay patient, and it looks like you'll be able to hit up the fishing dock and cheer him up soon enough.
