'Team Fortress 2' Storms Macs Today

Posted 6/10/10 1:33 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in Mac, News

Team Fortress 2 Mac

When Steam launched for Mac in May, it brought a great selection of games along for the ride. "Half-Life 2" followed them a few days later, but its Orange Box companion "Team Fortress 2" lingered behind. That changes today, though.

Unless something else rhymes with "Speem Gortress zmavailable on the Babac," "Team Fortress 2" will be available on the Mac today, according to the official "Team Fortress 2" blog.

That means that if you already own the title on PC, you should be able to download it for gratis on your Mac. Otherwise, hit up Steam and I'm sure they'll have it front and center so you can purchase away as soon as it's ready. At that point, you will be able to craft, wage war and explore user-created items to your heart's content.

That's going to mean a whole load of new combatants in the arena, so get your Mac-compatible gaming mouse ready and get set to blow some stuff up. Steam for Mac is about to come of age, and it's bringing a weapons cache.

Have you downloaded "TF2" on your Mac yet? What do you think of the Steam for Mac downloads you've tried thus far? Share your impressions in the comment section below.
