When Big Park's "Joy Ride" first showed up on the radar, its description mentioned free-to-play model experimentation, but it didn't say anything about Project Natal capabilities. That may be because it was only recently retooled to be a Natal title, readied to launch simultaneously with Microsoft's new motion controller system.
"The hope for us is that ['Joy Ride'] will be a boxed release — we're still in the dark on that one — but it's definitely for Natal and will definitely be here for launch," an anonymous senior retail source told Eurogamer.
In addition to a potential shift from downloadable game to boxed game, the report indicates that Big Park may have made the decision to take its free-to-play model off the table.
"We've been told it will no longer be free to play, but that it's been completely reworked into a bigger, richer game than before," the source explained.
Whatever the case maybe, Microsoft is set to talk Natal at their June 13 pre-E3 event, and if all of these details are true, it's probably same to assume "Joy Ride" will make an appearance there.
