Microsoft is going to be overloading the world with Project Natal info in two weeks when E3 rolls around, but it seems that they weren't able to keep the cat in the bag for quite that long, as the mythical motion-sensing hardware made an appearance at D8, the Wall Street Journal's conference dedicated to new and interesting tech.
Engadget was in attendance and managed to score a handful of pics of the current Project Natal hardware (something that's been banned at previous press events I've attended). While it's clear that the device is a dev-friendly version, I expect that the final version of Project Natal (or whatever it will be called) will look a lot like the one shown at D8, and looks a lot slicker than the leaked dev kit from a while back.
Don't worry about Walt Mossberg and some kid stealing all of Microsoft's thunder, though. The D8 demo simply demonstrated the skeletal tracking systems in the device, which was something that was shown off at last E3. Remember that fiasco with Kudo trying to show you the bottom of his foot? Yeah, been there, done that.
