Ubsisoft has lined up a lot of platforms for "Ghost Recon: Future Soldier" since the title was trademarked and subsequently announced. The 2010 holiday season launch they hoped to achieve doesn't look like it's going to happen after all, though, thanks to word straight from the top today.

"Final Fantasy Versus XIII" may bring airships back to the Xbox 360 as well as the PlayStation 3, depending on how internal discussions at Square Enix go between now and an expected unveiling at E3. The game was originally announced as a PS3 exclusive, but so was "Final Fantasy XIII," and we all saw what happened with that plan. Asked about a potential multiplatform launch, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada left the possibility on the table.
"We'll be looking into it internally until right before the formal announcement," Wada said at an investors conference in Tokyo, according to an Impress Watch report translated by Andriasang.

Jake Gyllenhaal will be introducing the Prince of Persia IP to a whole new audience when "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" hits theaters at the end of May, and Ubisoft has a new game ready to accompany him with "Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands." They apparently have a new iPhone and iPod touch port of "Prince of Persia Classic" ready as well, however. The game will require some size and control retooling, but console gamers should recognize the name from Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.

You've torn off the cellophane and loaded the disc into your console of choice. Watched the opening cutscene unfold with John Marston's arrival in Armadillo, ridden off to Fort Mercer and had a bullet lodged in your gut. Now you're fully recovered and wandering around the idyllic setting of MacFarlane's Ranch. You've got your trusty six-shooter, any number of horses to hop on and ride, and an massive open world waiting before you.
Sooooooo... now what?

They say part of the "thrill" of NASCAR is the potential that there will be wrecks. Fans put up with hours upon hours of left turns and deafening noise for the possibility of carnage. But what if they kicked it up a notch and featured explosions? "Split/Second" hopes to answer that question.
The Basics
In a slightly more violent parallel reality, "Split/Second" is a hit TV show ("Watched by over a billion people!") that features a squad of elite racers running through stunt courses littered with explosions, shortcuts, debris and the occasional helicopter dropping artillery on your hood. If you can outrace, outmaneuver and outlast the other master drivers on the various courses, you too can join the cast of "Split/Second."

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata may have said that the Nintendo 3DS isn't the final name for the company's new portable platform, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't be the final product name at some point in the future. And it certainly doesn't mean that Nintendo won't consider opening up a "3DSWare" store or referring to some other function or service offered with the DSi successor as "3DSPlay." In fact, they should now be in the clear to do so, thanks to some recently registered trademarks.

Estimates for how much Project Natal will cost have been all over the place, ranging from a $50 prediction last year to Swedish listings that showed up this week with the MSRP set at 1,499 kr (or just under $200). Microsoft spoke up, though, and they said retailers haven't been told what the peripheral set will sell for yet.
"Retailers are not yet aware of pricing details for Project Natal and pre-order pricing is pure speculation," Xbox 360 director of product management, Aaron Greenberg wrote on his Twitter account.

The bigger picture surrounding Bungie's 10-year exclusive deal with Activision and EA's perspective on the situation got a bit more intriguing today as EA Partners head David DeMartini revealed that a second contract with Bungie might be possible. The only catch would be that such an agreement would only be achievable in connection with a second new IP on top of the one the Washington-based studio plans to publish through Activision.
"I don't want to see [Bungie] fail — I want them to be successful," DeMartini told CVG. "And when they start up a second team, we'll have other discussions with them about that game as well — because they're a great studio."
