UPDATE: Bird people (!!!!!)
Original Story: "Red Dead Redemption" features some impressive animal AI which allows beasts of all kinds to populate the wildest parts of the Wild West. Unfortunately it seems this AI has run afoul of some human DNA and created monstrosities not seen since "The Island of Doctor Moreau."

Bungie may not have attracted the 3 million players they expected to host for the "Halo: Reach" multiplayer beta test, but they sound like they came close. "More than 2.7 million" is the official count, according to a report by the AP, and September 14 will be the ultimate release date for the full game.

Valve: This is what happens when you leave fans in the lurch for years over when "Half-Life 2: Episode 3" will actually come out. Yes, it appears some creative soul has designed an 80s-era movie poster for "Episode 2" which has all the elements of awesome. Note the hand-drawn character art, the range of emotion (from joy to sorrow to scary alien faces) and, of course, the obligatory car-going-over-a-jump-with-an-explosion-behind it.

The "Lost" finale has ended. You may have loved it. You may have hated it. But if you feel sentimental for the music of the "Lost" universe, keep an eye on DLC offerings for "Rock Band." Driveshaft's "You All Everybody" and Geronimo Jackon's "Dharma Lady" are both in line for release on the Rock Band Network, according to a report at G4, who says the tracks were briefly visible on on creators.rockband.com, only to vanish mysteriously like a smoke monster into the wind.

Space. The final frontier. Full of mystery and silence and foreboding — except when an Italian plumber from a beloved Nintendo franchise invades. Then it's all about power stars and turtles and turning into a boulder. And that's when it gets awesome. This is "Super Mario Galaxy 2." Engage!

Even though the "FarmVille" promotion with 7-Eleven was scheduled to start on 1 June, there have already been themed goods appearing across Zynga games, including "FarmVille," "YoVille" and "Mafia Wars."

If you haven't been getting into the spirit of the "FarmVille" and 7-Eleven promotion, then there's another sponsorship to catch your imagination, this time coming in the form of the Green Giant Fresh brand.

Pakistan has banned access to Facebook from 19 May 2010, after officials from the country were outraged by a Facebook page that promotes users to draw images of an Islamic prophet.
The Facebook page in question is titled "Everybody Draw Mohammed Day," and asks users to upload images of Islam's holy man that they've drawn. The page was created to protest against Islamic Extremists' threats and violence against past portrayals of Mohammed.

Google is celebrating the Pac-Man 30th Anniversary today in a rather unique way. Usually the search giant customizes their logo to honor a specific date in history, but today the logo has been transformed into a playable Pac-Man maze! Awesome.
All you have to do is head over to Google's classic search page (if you have iGoogle activated, it won't work). Once there, click the "Insert Coin" button and you're good to go. Arrow keys handle movement, and I'm sure you know the rest.
This is just the sort of creativity and gaming-friendly attitude we like to see out of our future overlords!
And this is only the beginning of the Pac-Man frenzy that's sure to follow. Don't forget that Pac-Man will be making an appearance at E3, and he's already on his way to mobile devices and Twitter via "Pac-Man Reborn." You can't stop the Pac.

Long before "BioShock" had Andrew Ryan, it had Ryan-esque sentences written in something called Annals of the Conductor, and before the game had plasmids, it had animal gene sequences ready to be decoded and assimilated. These and other details all come out in the first pages of the original "BioShock" pitch document put together by Ken Levine and his team at Irrational Games.
