Danica Patrick is a pretty popular race car driver. She's competing in the Indy 500 this weekend, but gamers will see her first as one of the boss characters in Bizarre Creations' racer, "Blur."

Though she admits that she's not a hardcore gamer, she certainly played a lot of games when she was younger. "Super Mario Kart," for one, which his appropriate given the kart-style gameplay in "Blur." But it wasn't just racing games. She was also quite the fan of "Track & Field" and even had the power pad. Check out the video above, in which she regaled us with some of her favorite gaming memories, including good tactics for cheating on the NES.

Free PSPgo games

Since Sony launched the PSPgo last year, the system has hit a few bumps trying to gain traction in the market. Sony has blamed piracy for PSP platform stagnation broadly, but it looks like they've decided to leverage legal free games to try to attract more go buyers.

"Gran Turismo," "LittleBigPlanet," "MotorStorm Arctic Edge," "Wipeout Pure" and "Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice," are all being offered to newly registered PSPgo's, according to a Sony representative speaking to GamesIndustry.biz. The offerings also include "FIFA 2010 World Cup," "Need for Speed Shift," "Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars," "Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines" and one third-party title.

UFC Undisputed 2010
Review By Kyle Anderson

Over the course of the last decade (and especially in the past four years or so), the Ultimate Fighting Championship has gone from an underground phenomenon to a truly mainstream sport that is covered by ESPN and takes up quite a bit of bandwidth on the Internet. Though they had experimented with games in the past, "UFC Undisputed 2009" represented their true entry into the interactive world. While it was a success, it left a lot of hardcores wanting more of mixed martial arts' subtleties. Hence the hardcore-heavy "UFC Undisputed 2010," perhaps the most realistic fighting game every created.

Splinter Cell

Ubisoft's ambitious DLC plans for "Splinter Cell: Conviction" haven't deterred them from getting started on the Tom Clancy series' next iteration, and the franchise will reportedly be shifting from Ubisoft Montreal to Jade Raymond's Ubisoft Toronto studio.

Ubisoft said that Toronto would be taking on the role of lead developer on the yet-to-be-titled sequel, according to a report on GameSpot. No window for a release or other details came with that confirmation, but the studio expects to expand from 40 employees to 800 in the next decade.

Pirates

The last year has been a wild one for the PlayStation Portable, what with the launch of the PSPgo, lack of UMD support there and a reaffirmed commitment to the UMD format a few months later. SCEA believes piracy played a major role in hurting sales, though, and while PSP 2 rumors for E3 are still just rumors, a senior VP has gone on the record as saying the projects they will announce will come with anti-piracy precautions.

Shaun White Skateboarding

It's hard to imagine how one brings variety to skateboarding video games. You are, after all, limited to certain aspects like ollies, kick-flips and grabs. As the "Tony Hawk" franchise has found, that formula is extremely difficult to keep fresh from year to year. EA's "Skate" has seen some success, but after the third installment, those games are really just iterating on what came before rather than innovating in any significant way. "Shaun White Skateboarding" is attempting to bring some innovation to the genre with a unique art style and some never-before-seen gameplay elements, but is it enough to separate it from the pack?

ModNation Racers

Up until now, most publishers have never successfully released a kart racing. It's a genre whose roots have always been firmly planted in Nintendo's camp. However, the time has come for Sony to step up to the challenge, and for the PS3 to receive its own, very unique go-kart game, giving Nintendo a run for its money. "ModNation Racers" looks to usher in the next generation of karting, taking full advantage of everything that Sony's console has to offer.
