'Lost' To Live On In 'Rock Band' Tracks

Posted 5/24/10 10:00 am EST by Brian Warmoth in News, rock band

Lost for Rock Band

The "Lost" finale has ended. You may have loved it. You may have hated it. But if you feel sentimental for the music of the "Lost" universe, keep an eye on DLC offerings for "Rock Band." Driveshaft's "You All Everybody" and Geronimo Jackon's "Dharma Lady" are both in line for release on the Rock Band Network, according to a report at G4, who says the tracks were briefly visible on on creators.rockband.com, only to vanish mysteriously like a smoke monster into the wind.

They could reappear as soon as sometime this week, though, giving a whole new afterlife to the characters behind the music in the show. If the band names sound unfamiliar to you, Driveshaft was the band that Dominic Monaghan's character Charlie played in, while Geronimo Jackson is a recurring band that existed in the 1970s "Lost"-verse.

This is actually one musical gaming occassion where I wouldn't mind seeing a few playable characters. Being able to take to the stage as Hurley, Charlie and Locke would be pretty badass. That's all just fantasy though — my own little DHARMA Initiative dream in another dimension, if you will.

Is there any other music from "Lost" that you would like to see in "Rock Band"? What do you think of these first choices? Share your reactions in the comment section below.
