'FarmVille' Promotion With 7-Eleven Kicks Off

Posted 5/14/10 9:30 am EST by Nick Akerman in News, PC

We recently reported that "FarmVille" is to have a 7-Eleven sponsorship running through the game, and the eagle-eyed among you may be aware that promotional material is appearing at various gas stations.

A "Zynga Cup Distribution" leaflet has been hunted down at a 7-Eleven store by a member of the "FarmVille Freak" community, which outlines the basic details of the cross promotion.

Not willing to give up there, "FarmVille" ice cream has also been spotted. Retailing at $2.29, the package also includes a code that can be used once in the game. The ice cream indicates players will be ablt to redeem their code from 17 May, although the official site states 1 June. If Zynga have their head screwed on they'll hopefully allow players to start redeeming their codes sooner rather than later, as the ice cream is sure to be snapped up with haste anyway.

As the promotion begins to move forward, expect to see a plethora of material making its way across the country's 7-Eleven stations, and of course, look out for exclusive items in the game itself.

Have you spotted any "FarmVille" items at your local 7-Eleven? If so, we'd love to here from you. If not, what promotional material would be impossible to turn down?
