Project Natal October Release Confirmed By Microsoft Rep

Posted 5/11/10 12:00 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in News, Xbox 360

Project Natal October

Back in February, Microsoft publicly stood by its Christmas release plans for Project Natal, but a Saudi marketing manager from the company appears to agree with TV presenter Jonathan Ross now that October will be the month we see Natal hit stores — both in Saudi Arabia and other parts of the world.

"I do have great news to share with everybody that Project Natal will be launched in Saudi Arabia [and in] the world somewhere in October," marketing manager of E&D at MS Saudi Syed Bilal Tariq told the TV station KSA2, as captured on video at Gamertag Radio. "We will be in a position to confirm the date after E3, which is in June, but definitely it is going to be October 2010, and we will have it in Saudi Arabia for sure."

So there you have it. If you don't see a Project Natal set in your region once October comes around, you'll know which destination to immediately buy a plane ticket to. For now, we can look ahead to the period of time between the beginning of Microsoft's Sunday-night pre-E3 presentation and October, during which they are virtually guaranteed to reveal a more specific release date.

Does October work for you as a launch month for Natal? What else do you hope to hear from Microsoft in June? Share your reactions in the comment section below.
