'Just Dance' Contest Launched To Find Dance Talent For Sequel

Posted 5/7/10 12:00 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in News, Wii

Just Dance

Ubisoft's multi-million seller "Just Dance" will get a sequel. That shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. The company wants to crowd-source some moves for their unnamed follow-up, though, and their search involves an international contest meant to hunt down dancers. Three winners — one from France, one from the United Kingdom and one from the United States — will represent their respective countries when the search concludes.

Details and requirements are posted in a press release and on on the "Just Dance" Facebook page . The victors will eventually fly to Paris to have their choreography integrated into the new game.

For those of us who have absolutely no natural dance instincts at all, this contest will be of little use, but if you've got some moves and you've always wanted to see Paris, this could be your free ticket. Chances to meet some developers and celebrity judges may be a part of the mix as well.

Ubisoft says their first edition of "Just Dance" is about to eclipse the 3 million units sold mark worldwide, though, so there have to be at least a few dedicated movers out there whose ears will perk up about this opportunity.

What dance moves would you like to contribute to the "Just Dance" sequel? Are you going to give the contest a whirl? Sound off in the comment section below.
