Decent "Star Wars" games are a pretty rare commodity, and while it wasn't perfect, "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" definitely succeeded on a few levels, most notably the story and the feeling of being awesome. "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2" continues the series with the return of Darth Vader's former apprentice, Starkiller, getting back to basics. LucasArts announced that the game will be available on October 26, 2010.
Details about the story and new gameplay features remain scarce, save for the ability to wield two lightsabers at once (as seen in the above artwork). I'm left wondering how Lucas is going to explain the ending of the first game, which left Starkiller either dead or as a half-man, half-machine puppet for the Emperor (after having killed Darth Vader). Dream sequence, anyone?
The game's official website hints at one of the locations, as the setting pictured behind Starkiller looks a heck of a lot like Yoda's swampy planet of Dagobah. Does that mean we'll be getting a better glimpse at that crazy muppet in-game? Here's hoping!
