Ever since the first "Dead Rising," people were desperate for co-op play. In every zombie movie ever, it's always a group of survivors fending off the hordes, so to make "Dead Rising" a strictly solo experience was just a miss opportunity. But that qualm has been rectified for "Dead Rising 2," which has full co-op play throughout the entire campaign.

James Gunn may be best known as the writer and director behind "Slither," as well as an upcoming superhero film starring Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page called "Super," but he's also a dedicated blogger and tweeter. Last week, he tweeted that he was going to demo Project Natal, and that in turn lead to a blog entry about a his experience, including a "Wii Sports"-ish sounding game he called "River Rush."
"['River Rush'] a game where you stand side by side in a river raft, so it’s two people playing at once," Gunn wrote on his blog at JamesGunn.com. "To move right, you have to step right; to move left, you have to step left. As you rush down right rapids, you have to jump up and slap floating stars in the air – the whole raft jumps up every time you do."

Whether a Sony brand manager accidentally announced "LittleBigPlanet 2" in Dutch or not, a musician named Ochre seems to be convinced that the sequel exists — and that he has licensed music to be used in that sequel. The artist, whose real named is listed on Twitter as Christopher Leary, reportedly mentioned "LB2" in his feed Friday, but later erased the post.

Juri is one of the two totally brand new characters created for "Super Street Fighter 4." She's sultry, she's tough, and she's a brutal kicker that doesn't mind toying with her enemies before putting the finishing touches on them. If you'll allow us to stay surface-level for just a bit longer, take note of her crazy eye. It's a boosting device implanted in her by S.I.N. that feeds into her Ultra. But more important than that even is the fact that using her is like fiddling with a less-messy and less-ugly version of "Mortal Kombat" star Kano.

"StarCraft 2" made it past the ESRB with a T for Teen rating in the U.S., but Korea's Games Ratings Board responded a bit more harshly. They gave it an adults-only stamp, and Blizzard now has a 30-day window in which to file an objection to the unit within the country's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
"Considering that the [release candidate] version of the game is closer to what will be sold on the shelves compared to the beta versions, we looked more carefully at the content,'' an official from the Games Rating Board told The Korea Times. "However, this rating is not final, as Blizzard will get the chance to object to it.''

No Doubt publicly expressed disapproval over their appearance in "Band Hero" last year by filing a lawsuit against Activision. Just as Courtney Love became angered over Kurt Cobain's use in "Guitar Hero 5," the band claimed "Band Hero" crossed a line by allowing them to be used singing other performers' songs. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Kenji Machida made at least one decision in the band's favor last Thursday, but Activision has announced that they will appeal.

Dropping the third season of the "Sam & Max" franchise on PSN has presented a unique opportunity for developer Telltale Games. From what we understand, the studio now has an unclogged tech pipeline and has started talking to other license holders about morphing their franchises into episodic content courtesy of Telltale.
In our recent phone conversation with Dan Connors, CEO of Telltale, Connors spoke briefly about new IP, explaining the studio's position and even teasing a possible announcement. Here's what he said when I asked if the studio had anything up its sleeves on the new IP front:

The Doctor has been all over time and space during nearly 50 years of "Doctor Who" on TV. In conjunction with the newest season's launch, though, the BBC have put their latest leading man Matt Smith at the front of a few downloadable games as well. The first trailer for "Doctor Who: The Adventure Games" for PC and Mac shows the Smith incarnation arriving in a bleak version of the 1960s where his alien nemeses the Daleks appear to have totaled civilization.
