'The Sims 3' Eyes The Xbox 360, PS3, Wii And DS For Fall

Posted 4/27/10 5:41 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in 3DS / DS, News, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360

The Sims 3

"The Sims 3" already stormed through the PC, Mac and iPhone arenas in 2009, becoming the top-seller for PC in North America and Europe. This fall, the franchise will make a stab at the console market as well, plugging in a few new features on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii and Nintendo DS. Such additions will include shareable user-created content on the 360 and PS3, a new beach town and "Life Moments" mode on the Wii and stylus face-sculpting on the DS.

"We're bringing players the best console and handheld game for The Sims franchise to date and are excited to offer a unique experience for all types of gamers on their platform of choice," EA executive producer Sam Player said in a press release. "Building on the unique traits system, living open neighborhood, lifetime wishes, and endless customization options, we've tailored each platform of 'The Sims 3' with exclusive features to allow for even more control, creativity, and connectivity."

That should about cover you for "The Sims 3," no matter what platform you own — oh, unless you only own a PlayStation Portable. If you fall into that demographic, you're out of luck.

Do you find any of these new "Sims 3" platform announcements particularly pleasing? Would you like to see the game on the PSP? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
