'Halo: Reach' Legendary Edition Is Expensive, Large

Posted 4/22/10 1:49 pm EST by Brian Warmoth in News, Xbox 360

Halo: Reach editions

An image supposedly leaked from an unreleased ad may not have known that Drew Brees would cover "Madden 11," but it does appear to know that "Halo: Reach" will ship in three different packages. The ad, spotted by a poster at Cheap Ass Gamer, seems to be the same one scanned over at Planet Xbox 360 from the looks of things, and the sites were definitely privy to the same rumored info.

Standard "Halo: Reach" will reportedly come at a predictable $59.99 price point, while the
Limited Edition featuring a special case, collectibles and in-game armor will cost $79.99. The top-tier Legendary Edition, comes marked at $149.99 and includes all the limited edition features plus unique packaging, a "Legendary Noble 6" sculpture and additional in-game armor.

I actually found it hard to concentrate while reading those those two posts thanks to the millions of cash register rings I could hear going off in the not-so distant future. Bungie expects more than 3 million players to join the "Reach" beta in a couple of weeks, and if anywhere near that number pick up the real game at these prices, Bungie should have a happy holiday season.

What do you think of the rumored "Reach" editions? Which one interests you? Share your reactions in the comment section below.
