Few people who haven't had a private demo of Microsoft's Project Natal like James Gunn had know what all of its bits and pieces look like. An Italian website called Multiplayer.it (no relation to our blog over here in the States) may know a little more, though, now, thanks to someone who leaked purported shots of the Natal development kit. The instructions that are shown in the pictures show off at least as much info as the peripheral components do, including a previously unmentioned independent power source and an automatic tilting mechanism.
The pictures, which were reposted by The Lost Gamer, show Natal from number of angles and spotlight some advice and warnings that are reportedly bundled with the kit. There also appears to be a prompt for a voice recognition-related exercise, as numerous pre-programmed voice commands come in the device's software. Forcibly tilting Natal's monitor, meanwhile, can apparently cause damage to the unit.
The pictures look real enough, but there's always a chance what's being shown is outdated, shown out of context or otherwise inaccurate given its fuzzy, smuggled nature. Still, it might be wise to organize your power strip by your TV accordingly if you plan on plugging one of these bad boys into your 360 at the end of the year.
