Tecmo's remastered edition of "Tecmo Super Bowl" now has a release date set for at least one of its platforms, even if PlayStation 3 owners still have some waiting to do. Microsoft dated "Tecmo Bowl Throwback" for April 28th on Xbox Live Arcade in a new press release, and Tecmo confirmed the news, but they also categorized their PlayStation Network launch date as TBD.
"'Tecmo Bowl Throwback' is out on XBLA April 28th, 2010," Tecmo posted on their official Twitter account. "TBD for PSN."
April 28th comes just a few days after the NFL draft this year, so that should be a nice week for NFL fans. "Throwback" will hit XBL with an 800-Microsoft-Point price tag, so it should set you back about $10, not nearly as much as a first round draft pick. And since the game is a remake of a bona fide classic, dropping dollars on it shouldn't be nearly as risky as making NFL draft selections either.
To top it all off, the player rosters even preset so amateur player selections won't be a threat to your performance.
