There are certain games that are, for one reason or another, more fun when played on easy. I was a big proponent of playing "Red Faction Guerrilla" on easy, and I'm currently playing through "Just Cause 2" on the easiest setting, as well. Seems that Rockstar Games is welcoming to those who are more interested in enjoying the experience than mastering the gameplay, as their next open world game, "Red Dead Redemption" will feature a Casual mode (as well as Normal and Expert).
It's the first time Rockstar has offered different difficulty levels in one of their open world games, and I think it's about time. "Grand Theft Auto 4" had some missions in there that, had I not been playing games for the last 20 years of my life, I would've been in deep trouble. I'm sure there were plenty of people that made it as far as "Four Leaf Clover" before quitting in anger and frustration. An easy mode helps mitigate that.
