"Super Street Fighter 4" already has new box art and a fresh face in its Turkish wrestler Hakan, but Capcom has also confirmed that an all-new arcade machine will appear after the game launches this year. "SSF4" will hit the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at the end of April, and a U.S. arcade edition will reportedly follow several months later.
"Everyone heard the news, right? We're expecting SSF4 release to be July/August," the California-based arcade company Arcade Infinity posted on their Twitter account. Initial confirmation that an arcade release would happen came via Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono at a Japanese 3vs3 tournament where he was spotted by Shadowloo. Capcom hasn't publicly attached a release date for the coin-powered "SSF4" towers, so make of the Arcade Infinity post what you will. Just know that it's coming.
If you have a local arcade, check with them, though, and see if they feel like sharing their cabinet-ordering agenda with you for the rest of the year. Perhaps they'll know more. In the meantime, start doing your wrist exercises and learning your new Hakan and Juri combos.
