"Gears of War 3" may not come out before 2011, but Epic Games design director Cliff Bleszinski will be on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" next week to announce a new project, and there's more than one reason to believe the next Gears game will be his topic of conversation. In fact, the title already appears on the upcoming Electronic Gaming Monthly cover, so the timing on a nationwide TV unveiling next Thursday, April 8th would be just a little too perfect.
"Game designer Cliff Bleszinski (@therealcliffyb) debuts his new game on Late Night next Thur.," Fallon wrote on his Twitter account yesterday. "Set your TiVos! And your Xboxes."
Bleszinski, meanwhile, hasn't been hinting directly at "Gears 3" on his own account. He tweeted about getting some blood on himself, which at first glance might appear to be a tease, but read on back in his history and you'll find out he was just watching a UFC match.
All we know for sure is that he's going to be talking about a new Epic title next Thursday night, though. It's entirely possible that they have something else waiting in line in front of "Gears 3," but it's also doubtful.
