The initial teaser trailer for "Sonic the Hedgehog 4" showed brief snaps of gameplay in between taunting text. That's no fun at all. Thankfully the internet will not be denied, and today an intrepid soul posted a solid minute and a half of the game actually running. You can watch that video below:
Wow, it looks like every 2D "Sonic" game ever made. Well, that's what everyone asked for and that's what we got. We win.
By the way, Destructoid noticed that, according to Xbox Live Marketplace, DIMPS will be handling the development on "Sonic 4." That's great news for Sonic fans, as DIMPS is the same crew that helmed "Sonic Advance" series on the Nintendo DS. These guys know how to make a good 2D Sonic game.
