UPDATE: No need to wait until next week, as it looks like the DLC pack is live now! Woo.
Original Story: The "Dragon Age: Origins -- Awakening" expansion pack won't be showing up until March 16 at the earliest, but the good word for dedicated players today is that the game's released (and later unreleased) "Return to Ostagar" DLC may be returning for good as soon as next week.
"We ran into an issue with a title update simultaneously hitting with 'Return to Ostagar' and there was a timing issue with both of those," BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka told GamerZines. "I don't know if it was a communication error with our distribution partners or what happened there. If they were released in order it would have been fine but it created a bug which prevented progression and obviously that wasn't acceptable so we pulled it down."
Muzyka didn't seem eager to lay down blame for the false-start release, but he did try to express BioWare's level of commitment, and stopped just short of promising a firm date for re-release a week from now.
"We have a big investment planned for Dragon Age with more DLC coming in the next week or so," he explained.
Muzyka's should come as a relief to everyone who watched "Ostagar" disappear as quickly as it first went live and wondered how they would be spending February as a result.
