With no official word from Apple regarding what sort of software the almost-certainly-in-existance Apple Tablet will run, we have to go by outside sources. Sources like Flurry Analytics, a research group which tracks the usage of mobile software on specific devices. For example, they're able to say that 30,000 people are playing "Bejeweled 2" on an iPhone 3GS right now.
Using their data collection techniques, they managed to spot about 50 unknown devices in the general area of Apple's Cupertino headquarters which "match the characteristics of Apple's rumored tablet device." Given that Apple will probably have network-connected tablets at their announcement on Wednesday, it's not a surprise that there would be a handful of devices good to go.
Perhaps more interesting is the above graph, in which Flurry tracked what sort of software the rumored devices were using. The overwhelming winner was gaming, which makes sense, given that the App Store has more games than any other piece of software. It begs the question what sort of games would actually run on the tablet, since many iPhone/iPod Touch games rely on a small screen to be controlled.
Thankfully the speculation will end on Wednesday when Apple makes its big announcement.
