Everyone's seen the cast members of Hideo Kojima's next "Metal Gear" game for the PSP, and now the street date for "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker" is public information as well. Japan still gets the earliest chance to play on March 18th, and the UK gets it May 28th, but U.S. gamers will get a three-day head start on May 25th.

I've played a lot of "Tetris." Really, who hasn't? But have you ever wondered the source of those fated blocks which appear on the horizon like hellish meteors or saintly clouds (depending on your current predicament)? College Humor has:

Tony Hawk tried something new this year with his annual skateboarding game. "Tony Hawk: Ride" introduced a physical skateboard controller, which you actually have to stand on and interact with in order to play the game. We found it, well, not fun, in our review of "Tony Hawk: Ride", and the sub-50 MetaCritic average seems to agree. Hawk, however, isn't convinced that his game isn't fun, and is willing to talk about why everyone seems to have it wrong.

Michael Jackson's keyboardist, Brad Buxer, confirmed with French-language magazine, "Black & White," that he and the King of Pop contributed to the soundtrack of "Sonic the Hedgehog 3." His involvement has long been rumored but never before confirmed by an inside party. Here's the quote from Buxer, discussing it, translation courtesy of VGMDB:

"Borderlands" may be expanding its borders in its next incarnation, depending on how Gearbox decides to use a title they've trademarked. "Borderworlds" has actually been theirs to use for a couple of years but doesn't show up in "Borderlands" or any of its DLC yet, which opens the filing up for speculation, particularly since Gearbox wants to hang on to it.

The "Empire Strikes Back"-style sequel to "Mass Effect" has now officially swelled to two discs -- and third if you count the extra content in the Collector's edition. Bioware didn't clarify exactly what made "Mass Effect 2" get so big, but they did offer a few details.

Even if Rockstar Games selects a city for "Grand Theft Auto 5," the game probably won't be ready in 2010. Publisher Take-Two Interactive doesn't see that as being a problem, however, saying that GTA as a franchise doesn't necessarily need to provide annual releases.
