The Hoth level previously exclusive to the "Ultimate Sith Edition" of "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed," appears to be getting significantly less rare, as it's now listed in the "Coming Soon" section of the Xbox Live Marketplace. The "Tatooine Mission Pack" has already been available for download on the XBLM for 800 Microsoft Points ($10), but LucasArts has kept the Hoth off until now.
The price and date of availability haven't been announced yet, but the Hoth DLC appears to be official for the 360, if not other platforms, according to Joystiq. The "Tatooine Mission Pack" is available on the PlayStation Network as well, so Hoth would presumably appear there too.
The Hoth mission puts Luke Skywalker up against Darth Vader's apprentice on the snow-covered planet made famous in "The Empire Strikes Back." In it, the up-and-coming Sith villain shows up decked out in a more mobile, slimmed-down version of Vader's costume.
Those looking for more "Force Unleashed" content to play through will obviously be happy about this move, but it does cast some incredulity upon the "exclusive" label that previously preceded the level on the "Sith Edition" packaging.
What do you think? Did you pick up the "Ultimate Sith Edition" of "The Force Unleashed"? Are you glad to hear that the Hoth level will be available on the XBLM? Share your reactions in the comment section below.
