The "Mega Man 10" announcement in Nintendo Power made it clear that the new Capcom sequel would be available on WiiWare, but those who enjoyed "Mega Man 9" on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade can now be assured that its follow-up will be multiplatform as well.
A scanned feature from the latest issue of Famitsu confirms that both the PSN and XBLA will be getting "Mega Man 10," according to Kotaku. Presumably, the game will hit timed with its March 2010 launch date for WiiWare, at which point we'll all get our first tries at de-powering its Robot Masters Sheep Man and Commando Man.
The new announcement doesn't come as a huge surprise, since Capcom appears to be pulling from the same playbook it used for its last Mega Man release. That makes the multiplatform status about as shocking as the energy drinks found inside Capcom's mysterious E-tank handouts at the VGA's last weekend.
Personally, I'm partial to the blocky D-pad controls of the Wii for old-style Mega Man play. It just feels right. So unless there are any unforeseen developments, the PSN and XBLA confirmation shouldn't change my 2010 plans.
