The guy pictured above is Starkiller, AKA Darth Vader's secret apprentice. And, unless you played and finished "Star Wars: The Force Unleashed," you may want to stop reading right here, as we're about to get into spoiler territory.
"Star Wars: The Force Unleashed" had two possible endings, light and dark. The light ending had Starkiller dying by absorbing the final blow from Emperor Palpatine, thus saving what would eventually become The Rebellion. The dark ending had him basically killing Darth Vader and becoming his replacement, complete with creepy robot limbs.
In both cases, he did not emerge from the adventure with the charming handsomeness he displays in the debut trailer (viewable below). He's either dead or a robot. I'm not sure there are too many ways around that. So, unless he's got a long lost twin, or he's managed to forgo the whole blue ghost thing in favor of actual life after death, this makes no sense at all. And yes, I understand the irony of looking for sense in a series which features midi-chlorians, but let me enjoy myself.
