UPDATE: Capcom has posted details of the first DLC, along with release dates, on their Capcom Unity blog.
ORIGINAL STORY: Capcom announced DLC plans for "Resident Evil 5" today on their Capcom Unity blog.
The plan is to release two new downloadable episodes, one of which probably focused on the recently revealed "Alternate Edition" content. The other DLC episode is unknown.
On top of those two, Capcom will also add a new "Mercenaries Reunion" mode to the mix, which will introduce eight new characters, new weapon load outs and costumes. The DLC is planned for release sometime next year. Capcom will also be selling a boxed version which includes the content, titled "Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition." Interestingly, while the PS3 disc will include the new content on the disc, the 360 version will just include a downloadable token for the new content.
