'Assassin's Creed Lineage' Live Action Trailer

"Assassin's Creed 2" is right around the corner, and as a means of drumming up interest about the franchise, Ubisoft went ahead and commissioned a series of live action short films set in the game's universe.

Despite its enduring success, there haven't been a ton of "Diablo" clones over the years. Maybe one or two a year, but usually they're pretty forgettable knock-offs. "Borderlands" manages to take the loot-based precepts of "Diablo" and mix in true FPS gameplay for a resoundingly fun and addictive experience. If you enjoy Blizzard's hack-and-slash RPG, or you're just a fan of mindless shooters, or you dug the open world nature of a game like "Fallout 3," you're sure to find something in "Borderlands" for you to enjoy.
App Store Allows iPhone Lite Releases To Updgrade In-Game

Up until this point "Lite" purchases from Apple's App Store needed to be exited in order to go back and purchase a game's fully loaded big brother. A change of policy has shifted those constraints, however, and iPhone and iPod touch gamers can now expect to see in-game buttons that immediately initiate purchases.
GameStop Lists 'Super Street Fighter 4' Price And Ship Date

Now that "Super Street Fighter 4" is officially an independent release, GameStop appears to have clarified the game's price and shipping date, which represents an ultra-quick follow-up on the calendar compared to this year's implicitly less super "Street Fighter 4." The disc comes tagged with a $39.99 price point for the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, matching the current MSRP for its predecessor, and the retailer's site claims it will ship on March 23, 2010.

First 'Borderlands' DLC Titled 'Zombie Island of Dr. Ned'

"Borderlands" won't be out on shelves until next week on October 20th, but Gearbox pulled the curtain away from its first DLC package today. "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned" will be the title for the optional game expansion, and Gearbox wants it out by the end of 2009. So if you pick "Borderland" up in time for Halloween, perhaps armed with its 3,166,880 weapons and the special pre-order guns you received for thinking ahead, it looks like DLC should be around for the holidays.
Released in 1989, "A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia" was one of the most unique and creative titles ever released for the NES. It was a story that sprang forth from the mind of David Crane, who, at that time, was best known as the designer of "Pitfall." Now, twenty years later, industry innovators WayForward Technology have finally released a follow up for the Nintendo Wii, that serves as more of a reimagining of the original, than actual sequel. At the same time, it fixes many of the problems of the classic, and adds a new coat of extra glossy paint.

What makes a "Ratchet & Clank" game tick? The humor? The strange new worlds? Captain Qwark? While we'd certainly argue the latter, one would be hard-pressed to not mention the massive (and oftentimes hilarious) arsenal of gadgets and weapons at our Lombax hero's fingertips. We all have our favorite weapons, but I decided to ping the team at Insomniac to find out what new guns appearing in "A Crack in Time" are their personal picks. So what new destructive force took the cake?

LeAnn Rimes And 'Degrassi' Actress Cassie Steele Embrace Simlish for 'The Sims 3: World Adventures'

LeAnn Rimes will follow in the footsteps of Katy Perry, Lily Allen and Nelly Furtado when she adds a Simlish language version of her unreleased song "You've Ruined Me" to the next "Sims 3" expansion pack, and she'll be joined by actress and musician Cassie Steele who plays Manny Santos on "Degrassi: The Next Generation." "World Adventures" appears to feature Indiana Jones-style escapades for Sims citizens, but learning their unusual language should prove to be a real life adventure, even for an accomplished singer like Rimes and one of Canada's biggest teen drama stars.
Great news! CNN is reporting that the famed Balloon Boy, Falcon Heene, has been found and is safely at home. Phew!
In what was one of the oddest news stories I think I've ever heard, Heene had reportedly climbed aboard his father's homemade aircraft and taken to the skies, leading authorities on a Colorado-wide chase. Turns out, though, he was at home the whole time, ashamed that he had let the balloon go. So while the entire country was sitting around the TV watching an empty balloon, he was probably enjoying some much-needed me time.
