Wentworth Miller, the star of "Prison Break," will have to get himself out of another jam in the next "Resident Evil" sequel. Miller will pick up the role of Chris Redfield, Claire's brother from the Capcom games. "Resident Evil: Afterlife," the fourth installment of the film series, brings back lead actress Milla Jovovich, as well as Ali Larter and Spencer Locke from "Resident Evil: Extinction."
Director Paul W.S. Anderson will also return for "Afterlife," which will film in Toronto for a late 2010 release, according to ShockTillYouDrop.com.
In one notable casting switch-up, Shawn Roberts, who played Rogue's boyfriend in the first "X-Men" movie and a recurring date-rapist character in "Degrassi: The Next Generation" will take over the part of Wesker from actor Jason O'Mara.
The new movie, which will be shot entirely in 3-D, follows "Extinction" chronologically, and production has already begun.
"It is tremendously exciting to bring a new chapter in the 'Resident Evil' saga to life with such a talented group of actors and filmmakers," producer Robert Kulzer said in a press release. "It gets better every time."
